Hermes - May 2016: The frog

What I love about Hermes window display is that they have different concept and design in every country but always based on the brand's annual theme. The Gardens Mall, one of the Hermes boutiques in Malaysia, presents a serene concept of an fresh water pond where frogs, turtle, big Koi fish, etc, are all live peacefully. The right positioning of the props make the display look vivid and natural. Unfortunately, I could not take photo of all the windows since I told not to take photos of the window by a boutique staff - it was my first experience since other Hermes boutiques never forbid me.

Louis Vuitton: Hot air balloons, part 2

 Plaza Senayan

 Plaza Indonesia

The Gardens Mall - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Louis Vuitton hot air balloons window display is very uniform in the arrangement that it is almost impossible to find the distinct composition one another. In this post, I would like to share some of the window displays arrangement that look interesting instead of boring. One corner display at Louis Vuitton Plaza Senayan shows the mini hot air balloons surround a giant LV scarf featuring map of the world image. This scarf is the best properties that might indicate the traveling character of this brand. Louis Vuitton Plaza Indonesia always has mannequins on the window since it is carrying ready-to-wear collection. The women window has the same look as what I posted before, but the men one is so ordinary. My friend from Kuala Lumpur emailed me the Louis Vuitton The Gardens window display that has more hot air balloons compared to the displays I see in Jakarta. Hope, Louis Vuitton HQ VM will create more spectacular and not ordinary display next time.

Ralph Lauren: Simplicity

Ralph Lauren existence in Malaysia is perhaps already established so well that it is now having two boutiques, the first at Pavilion and the new one in Suria KLCC. My best friend took the photos of the second boutique for me when he was in Kuala Lumpur. The display looks more simple compared to Singapore or other countries boutique such as in UK. The main window has white color as the perfect background for the colorful outfits in the mannequins. As accessories are always easier to be sold, there are hanging shelving to display the hand bags or leather goods collection.

Louis Vuitton: Spider web

After exploring the traveling elements, the house's monogram codes, and poetic value in the January display, something unexpected and surprising comes from Louis Vuitton window display look. Insect - living creatures that has no glamour aesthetic, mostly disgusting and dangerous - is becoming the main inspiration. The main windows are depicting a corner of a blank room, perhaps unused one or the owner is too lazy to do cleaning, with a spider web hanging on the walls. LV latest collections of leather goods are just put in a small shelving point, very minimal compared to the spacious window space. This very simple window display decoration is anticipated with ultra artistic light box with all different insects you ever know appear. Those insects are made from bags, belts, scarves, and other Louis Vuitton accessories collection, put and arranged in a certain way and then photographed and photoshop-ed to make the imagery of a mosquito or a bug. Bravo !

Bonia window display is matching with today's activities that is dressing up. There are make up tables both for man and woman. For man, a neat pant suits is ready to be worn, while a lady's make up table are so feminine it has a flower vase and colorful handbags.

Moschino: Cosmetic

It is always a very nice moment to find a Moschino boutique everywhere I travel. The reason is Moschino window display always look as fun and playful as the clothing collection. The latest discovery is at Suria KLCC, Kuala Lumpur. There are cosmetic products like lip stick or nail polishes standing among the mannequins. One of the nail polish bottles are opened and the liquid is coming out. Very feminine concept but not the boring one.

McQ: Wild birds

The only McQ Alexander McQueen boutique in South East Asia is located at Starhill Gallery, the most luxurious mall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This nice but small boutique has a very simple window display concept that is wild birds. It may sounds complicated but in reality it is not that fuzzy. The main properties used here are not the mannequins or the dried death birds but the stickers of birds and dried tries. These stickers are describing the flying birds in the wilderness vividly.

La Martina: Polo team

When I travel to Kuala Lumpur earlier this month, I found a new favorite brand for polo shirts called La Martina at Pavilion mall. It is an Argentinean brand that focuses its business on polo sport outfits and also other fashion products. It supports Argentina national polo team as well as some international polo teams and tournaments such as English national team. The window display of this brand is decorated with a very nice and detail depiction of a polo sport team. The athletes are posing and lounging in their home base wearing complete polo outfit and its equipment. Excellent!

DKNY Jeans: Balloons

It is two days already after the Christmas festivities, but we can still find the joy of holiday season everywhere. The example is this DKNY Jeans window display at The Gardens Mall, Kuala Lumpur. All the mannequins are carrying metallic color balloons with each balloon has letter shape of D, K, N, Y ,J, E, A, N, and S. The concept and the properties might be very simple, but it looks so special and festive.

Tonight will be the Christmas Eve and perhaps you, visitors, are in the middle of a Christmas party or celebration lunch or dinner. If you are not then perhaps this British India window display might bring the party atmosphere in your mind. This party presented here is Christmas party that is held in India. There is a big pictures of elephant with crystals and beads, trees with sparkling lamps instead of traditional Western Christmas tree, and the guests that are wearing festive outfits. Once again, hope this post can bring happiness and joy as what Christmas day means. Merry Christmas everyone :)
