Desigual: Playing on classic

There is a statement written in the glass window of Desigual, 'Classic is Nothing', that might reflect the point of view of this Spanish brand. Inside the window display, classical or Baroque style frames are hung so freely and abruptly mixed up with the wooden clothing rail rack. There are also two Roman pillars, cut to serve as the table display for the handbag collection. The main point of attraction of this playing on classic is the funny interpretation on some iconic people that are Frida Kahlo and Marilyn Monroe for the women window and also a Greek sculpture face and Albert einstein for the men. Their famous faces are painted with moustache or heart sign and even Albert got his tongue out and wearing colorful headdress.

Holiday mood window display also can be found at Desigual's window. There are coconut trees standing inside window space with faux grass covered floor. Don't expect the green and natural looking trees as you are in the Desigual area. Loud prints and colors are everywhere on the leaves, matching with the mannequins' outfits.

Graffiti art might become the main inspiration with walls of the window display are painted abruptly and abstractly. The colors are very neon bright while the motifs are mind breaking.

Desigual, a Spanish brand that is famous with riots of graphics and colors, has an interesting concept for its Christmas display. There are giant gift boxes and each of them contains the mannequins that are posing the Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Look at the ground part of the display and you can find tiny houses and snowy particles that make this display looks magical or some kind of fantasy.
