Louis Vuitton: Holiday gifts
Louis Vuitton had released a limited edition collection of handbags and trunks designed by a group of influential people not only in the fashion industry but also in the field of art and architecture. This project is called Celebrating Monogram in which those designers and artists were asked to designed their own point of view upon the classic Louis Vuitton monogram motif. The multi-talented Karl Lagerfeld is feeling sporty this time and comes up with boxing theme collection. The red sole master, Christian Louboutin, put his signature red color and infamous stud, not as sharp as his Loubis, on the body of a bag. Rei Kawakubo always shock her audience, now by burning the front part of the bag to create some holes. If you love modern architecture, you should know Frank Gehry who does not only design the latest Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris but also a very beautiful and architectural box, my wish list. I do not know who is this Marc Newson but he creates a colorful backpacks that I love best. The last collaborator is Cindy Sherman, an American photographer and film director who creates a special trunk with her touch of characters.
Plaza Indonesia
Siam Paragon
This collaboration project is now displayed in all Louis Vuitton boutiques all over the world under the holday themed concept. There is a big gift box with its flowing long ribbons and balloons flying around. If the display is showing the Celebrating Monogram collection, the collaborator initial, like K.L. or C.L. or R.K. will appear on the top of the gift box. Beautiful, playful, with a touch of art, architecture, and futurist theme.

Hermes: Tropical forest
Hermes is always at the top notch of luxury and it never shows ugly or ordinary thing in everything including the temporary store look. This case can be seen at the temporary boutique at Plaza Indonesia while the original location, in the Grand Hyatt lobby, is under a major developing renovation. The space of this temporary location is much much smaller than the permanent one but the look is as elegance as other Hermes boutiques started from the front window look. Tropical forest as can be seen in the Spring/Summer 2014 advertising image comes alive here in the window display with many exotic including the beautiful but stingy carrion flower. Take a closer observation and you can see some dragonflies with their flipping wings, yes flipping thanks to the high tech innovation. The next window also show some 'live' vegetals that have the open-close mouth to catch the insects. Amazing.

Sebastian Red: White flowers
Nature is now become a big topic in the fashion industry. One of the elements of nature is flower that will be still trending until next year's resort collection of some big fashion houses and brands. Sebastian Gunawan, a respectable Indonesian fashion designers who is infamous with his beautiful dresses and gowns, perhaps aware of this trend and uses flower as the main decoration in his newly renovated boutique for the Sebastian Red collection at Plaza Indonesia, Jakarta. Big white colored flowers become the center of attention and compliment the soft colored collection presented on the display.
Dior: Under the big giant roses
Since his first tenure at Dior fashion house back in 2012, Raf Simons is always using the flowers for inspiration whether it is the details on the dresses or accessories and jewelries or the show venue. The other usage of flower is now can be seen on the latest Dior window display with big big roses hanging on the ceiling. Looks nice but, for me, it looks less amazing than the previous arrangements.

Lanvin: Comic ?
Although Lanvin is the oldest fashion house in Paris, its window display always come with playful window display inspiration. Just like this recent change in the Plaza Indonesia boutique. Pop and striking colors of comic-like expression boxes are decorating the window display, circling a bag or the two mannequins. Not sure what the meaning of this display but it looks nice as always.
