Louis Vuitton: Holiday gifts

Louis Vuitton had released a limited edition collection of handbags and trunks designed by a group of influential people not only in the fashion industry but also in the field of art and architecture. This project is called Celebrating Monogram in which those designers and artists were asked to designed their own point of view upon the classic Louis Vuitton monogram motif. The multi-talented Karl Lagerfeld is feeling sporty this time and comes up with boxing theme collection. The red sole master, Christian Louboutin, put his signature red color and infamous stud, not as sharp as his Loubis, on the body of a bag. Rei Kawakubo always shock her audience, now by burning the front part of the bag to create some holes. If you love modern architecture, you should know Frank Gehry who does not only design the latest Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris but also a very beautiful and architectural box, my wish list. I do not know who is this Marc Newson but he creates a colorful backpacks that I love best. The last collaborator is Cindy Sherman, an American photographer and film director who creates a special trunk with her touch of characters.

This collaboration project is now displayed in all Louis Vuitton boutiques all over the world under the holday themed concept. There is a big gift box with its flowing long ribbons and balloons flying around. If the display is showing the Celebrating Monogram collection, the collaborator initial, like K.L. or C.L. or R.K. will appear on the top of the gift box. Beautiful, playful, with a touch of art, architecture, and futurist theme.

Louis Vuitton: Safari

Louis Vuitton had released a series of safari themed advertising image some months ago that becomes my most favorite image ever from this French luxury brand. In the photos that were shoot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz in South Africa and starred by two British supermodels, Karen Elson and Eddie Campbell, we can see the intimate connection and communication between the two beauties and the wild life creatures of Africa like giraffe and a leopard. Those fabulous images are now translated into a window display arrangement for Louis Vuitton Times Square boutique. Amazing!

Louis Vuitton: In the jungle

Louis Vuitton flagship stores have the different concept for window display each season. Like this summer 2014 where the franchise stores have the dandelion theme, the flagships stand out with the jungle theme window display. Monkey, in fashionable colorful stripes of course, are climbing up, hanging around, and even playing around with the mannequins. One big big windows even show the infamous three-monkey-pose, not by themselves, but with the mannequins head.

Louis Vuitton: Dandelion

Another flower themed window display is now coming from the most famous luxury brand in the universe, Louis Vuitton. This French brand takes the beautiful but fragile dandelion as the main point of attraction on the display. It depicts the flying seeds of dandelion, now comes in metal and clear wire materials, as well as the LV latest bags and leather goods, hung by think wires. Beautiful, serene, and comforting for the visual eye.

Louis Vuitton: cup cake paper case

Back in 2012, Louis Vuitton window display showed a giant cupcake with a cherry next to it. The time is running out so fast and now in 2014 the cup cake is gone and remains only the paper case, turning into mini size by the way. Inside each case are the latest collection of leather hand bags and accessories including the Louis Vuitton NN14 hand bags.
