Hermes always comes up with very creative idea in its window display. At this boutique at 8, avenue de Verdun, Nice, France, the window is decorated with a big big drops or splashes of paint in various colors. The movement of the drops and splashes is also followed by the product sitting.

Hermes: Sport arena

All my friends know that I love Hermes so much and they always send me the latest Hermes window boutique wherever they go around the world. A Japanese friend sent this series of photos last week from Ho Chi Minh City. Looking at this display in a glance, all Hermes fan can easily recognize the infamous women horn pendants inspiration behind it. This familiar shape is now going stripey and turn into a sport arena where bicycles and horses will compete each other. But, where is those bicycles and horses? Examine this photo closer and you can find that they are transparent. Excellent!

Hermes: Ribbons

Talking about luxury shopping in the South East Asia area, people will remember more of Singapore rather than Vietnam. However, Vietnam is now having all the big names of the luxury brands you ever know. One of them is Hermes that already had two boutiques, each in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, two major and main cities of this country. The one in HCMC is located at Vincom Cener A, a luxury shopping center with its beautiful French colonial style building inside the main district of the city. The window display of this boutique is surprisingly beautiful and creative. Ribbons become the main point of view of the main window area. They are flying and swirling around the, few, products displayed there. Hope one day I can visit this boutique by myself since the photos here were taken by my friend.

Luxury brands in Vietnam

 Ralph Lauren, Vincom Center A

 Dior, Vincom Center A

 Louis Vuitton, Vincom Center A

Finally I have a reason to visit Vietnam some day. My friend sent this photos of luxury boutiques in Ho Chi Minh City that make me curious about luxury business in this country. Louis Vuitton at the Opera View building might be the oldest brand that opens its door in this emerging country. Yet, nowadays it must face the competition with its LVMH brother brands or other groups'. A luxury shopping center called Vincom Center A is housing many fashion and jewelry brands, two of them are Dior and Ralph Lauren. The thing that makes me amaze about the Ralph Lauren boutique here is the availability of Ralph Lauren Collection gowns that I had seen on the runaway. We simply cannot ignore this city, or country, when talking about new wealth and luxury shopping heaven.

From London

Whenever my friends go abroad for traveling or business meeting, I always ask them, if they have time, to take photos of unique window displays according to them or they will ask some particulars brands I want. Recently, one of them went to London for business trip and gave me this two excellent quality photo.

The first one is Louis Vuitton window display from this brand's maison flagship boutique at Old Bond Street. The display is so terrific and magnificent since the properties are dinosaurs, the bones actually. One photo he gave me is featuring a female mannequin sitting on the back of a stegosaur. The metallic gold bones match with the luxurious feel of this boutique. Observe it closely and you can find the mannequin is actually holding a rope that tied in the dino's neck. Amazing.

The second photo was taken from Hermes boutique, again, at Old Bond Street. Compared to other Hermes windows I ever saw, this one is so simple but still very beautiful. On the main part of the window, two mannequins are standing in a bright yellow fields to play badminton - there are some rackets and shuttlecocks. White pigeons flying around them or just sitting at the rackets, strengthening the relaxed and serene feeling of this display.

Louis Vuitton: Hot air balloons, part 2

 Plaza Senayan

 Plaza Indonesia

The Gardens Mall - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Louis Vuitton hot air balloons window display is very uniform in the arrangement that it is almost impossible to find the distinct composition one another. In this post, I would like to share some of the window displays arrangement that look interesting instead of boring. One corner display at Louis Vuitton Plaza Senayan shows the mini hot air balloons surround a giant LV scarf featuring map of the world image. This scarf is the best properties that might indicate the traveling character of this brand. Louis Vuitton Plaza Indonesia always has mannequins on the window since it is carrying ready-to-wear collection. The women window has the same look as what I posted before, but the men one is so ordinary. My friend from Kuala Lumpur emailed me the Louis Vuitton The Gardens window display that has more hot air balloons compared to the displays I see in Jakarta. Hope, Louis Vuitton HQ VM will create more spectacular and not ordinary display next time.

Ralph Lauren: Simplicity

Ralph Lauren existence in Malaysia is perhaps already established so well that it is now having two boutiques, the first at Pavilion and the new one in Suria KLCC. My best friend took the photos of the second boutique for me when he was in Kuala Lumpur. The display looks more simple compared to Singapore or other countries boutique such as in UK. The main window has white color as the perfect background for the colorful outfits in the mannequins. As accessories are always easier to be sold, there are hanging shelving to display the hand bags or leather goods collection.

Louis Vuitton: Spider web

After exploring the traveling elements, the house's monogram codes, and poetic value in the January display, something unexpected and surprising comes from Louis Vuitton window display look. Insect - living creatures that has no glamour aesthetic, mostly disgusting and dangerous - is becoming the main inspiration. The main windows are depicting a corner of a blank room, perhaps unused one or the owner is too lazy to do cleaning, with a spider web hanging on the walls. LV latest collections of leather goods are just put in a small shelving point, very minimal compared to the spacious window space. This very simple window display decoration is anticipated with ultra artistic light box with all different insects you ever know appear. Those insects are made from bags, belts, scarves, and other Louis Vuitton accessories collection, put and arranged in a certain way and then photographed and photoshop-ed to make the imagery of a mosquito or a bug. Bravo !

Hermes: The city and the mountain

Hermes window display is always amazing in every aspect, whether it is the design, the property, the arrangement, etc. Here is the latest Hermes window display from its boutique at Scotts Square, Singapore. Each windows on the main entrance is depicting a city scene with skycrappers building and hot air ballons flying up on top of them. Some of the balloons are replaced by Hermes fabulous hand bag collection. There is also a balloon that shows its passengers, an old man wearing a white hat. The bigger window that is located in the front corner of the boutique is about a car road at the mountain slope. The most interesting part of this display is the vintage open car that has a dog as its driver. The dog is even wearing an Hermes scarf and its car is carrying a duffle bag. How lucky my best friend who took this photo to see this vivid window in the location.

Ralph Lauren: In the ranch

Ralph Lauren brand might always be associated with the polo sport, but now the Ralph Lauren Collection, the most expensive line of the brand, is focusing on equestrian world through the ready-to-wear collection and also jewelry and accessories. This focus can be seen at the women section window display of Ralph Lauren at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, last September. Stacks of hays are spreading throughout the window space. There is a live size black horses mounted by a lady mannequin in a chic outfit. Luxurious riding boots complete the vivid look of the concept.

Hermes: Bird nests

I am so glad and proud to have best and good friends who always take me photos of window display from the places they travel to. Last September, one of them went to Singapore and took me some of the best boutique displays from The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. One of them is the Hermes window display that featured bird nests as the main properties to place bags and other fabulous Hermes accessories. Those nests were put at the dried trees as if the fall wind had made all the leaves went from the twigs.
