Jade: Comic - the war

If only Jade boutique has the size as big as Harvey Nichols building in London, I will be very happy to take photo of the amazing window display creation it makes. Look at this latest comic concept that is now gracing the window of this local multi-brands store. If the one in Plaza Indonesia looks calm and beautiful, dramatic is the first effect that can be felt from the window in Senayan City store. There is a bomber aircraft flying around inside the window that has image of bomb explosion on the background. The war situation here is getting more intense with the mannequins arrangement. Two 'ladies' pilot with the bomber style helmets are facing face to face. They might be friends or vice versa. What do you think?

Jade: Comic - beauty

Jade window display both at Plaza Indonesia and Senayan City have been updated this week. I will post them separately and start it with the one in Plaza Indonesia. Comic, perhaps in psychedelic style, is the central inspiration behind the concept. Thus, there is a giant comic figure of a yellow hair lady

Jade: DNA

Although it is a local multi-brand boutique, Jade is so stand out among the other same-concept stores and even the high profile brands when it comes to spectacular window display concept. The third Jade boutique at Senayan City, newly renovated, is now featuring a DNA concept, with long nucleus cell chains sprawling and swirling inside the vast space. They are made of simple cartons with the original yellow-brown color yet they look so brilliant. Amazing.

Jade: Punk

This year's Costume Institute Exhibition held by Vogue magazine and Metropolitan Museum of Art has the striking title of Punk: Chaos to Couture. The title shows all the meaning and concept of this influential fashion exhibition. Many designers, especially American, created the punk-influenced pieces or collections for their Fall/Winter 2013 and also we can see the rising of grunge fashion via Saint Laurent collection this fall. The influence of this trend reaches Indonesia, too, although not as big as other fashion conscious countries. We can see it in via the window display of Jade at Plaza Indonesia. Giant studs, so tightly placed they look like durian fruit, in white color become the backdrop for three mannequins set in the punk style outfit. There is a punk queen here with crown made of wire, skull necklace, and a gown by Azzedine Alaia that comes in black color. Her two lady-in-waiting have spiky hair, so long they look like hedgehog, and wear stockings to cover their face. Last but not least, chain and safety pin are completing the look of those mannequins. Amazing !

Jade: Peter Pilotto

Jade is celebrating the arrival of Peter Pilotto Spring/Summer 2013 collection by decorating its window with mind blowing graphic images. Those graphic images are derived from some collections of this upcoming British designer and covering the display walls, ground parts, as well as some properties.

Strike a pose

 Valentino - Plaza Indonesia

 Lanvin - Plaza Indonesia

Jade - Plaza Indonesia

Just like fashion pages on the magazine, window display can tell a story or has a particular concept, but sometimes it has nothing to expose, just a commercial or abstract message. However, a blank concept display is still eye-catching with the help of mannequins' pose or the styling or the color. Valentino window display is now completed with folding screens in white color that is matching perfectly with the black-and-white outfits of the mannequins and the handbags on the table. Lanvin stripy window display look edgy with the mannequin's pose that looks as if 'she' is playing with 'her' gown skirt. Jade is continuing its giant soldiers statues but now they look more friendly since one of the soldiers is communicating with a lady in Alaia outfit.

Jade: Soldiers

So proud that Indonesia, especially Jakarta, has a local multi-brand boutique that sells high-end designer collections as well as has a very excellent conceptual window display. The name of the boutique is Jade and the one with very nice display is located at Plaza Indonesia. This Christmas, for example, there are four giant white soldiers with golden nose stand at the red colored window display. The meaning of this display might be absurd as soldier has no correlation with Christmas. Hope the creator of this display read this post and willing to tell me the meaning.

Jade: SALE

Jade is the most creative local boutique that has interesting and out of the box window display creation each season. In this Christmas or holiday month, Jade decorates its spacious window display in Plaza Indonesia purely dedicated to the sale promo. The window front is 'tied' with black ribbons that has a metal frosted candle tier in the center. Inside the yellow walled display are some paper bags in various size that symbolize the extra shopping habit in the sale season.
