Plaza Indonesia
Plaza Senayan
The hottest news in the fashion industry last year is about the departure of Marc Jacobs from the house of Louis Vuitton after 16 years of tenure. His successor is Nicholas Ghesquiere who is previously at the helm of Balenciaga. This change surely will make a big big big impact to this most famous, wanted, coveted, and also copied brand in the world. I am not sure my observation is true or not, but looking at the recent window of Louis Vuitton, here are from Plaza Indonesia and Plaza Senayan, Jakarta, the wind of change is blowing hard.
Replacing the witty and cute goose play window from the Holiday 2013 window is the geometric theme window featuring colorful cubes, blocks, and other super minimal shape props. In the below part of the window, there is a brief explanation that this window is inspired by "Gaston Louis Vuitton's drawings of a display for the historical store at 70 Avenue des Champs-Elysees." I am trying to Google this explanation but still not yet find any clue. Please kindly comment or add information if any of the visitors here know this matter.
