Hermes: Horse racing

Equestrian world is actually the core business of Hermes in the beginning of its business back to long long time ago in the last century. With the invention of automobile, Hermes changed expanded its business into the world of fashion and in the recent time it is synonymous to the ultra-expensive and luxurious handbags named Birkin and Kelly. Hermes boutique at Changi Airport Terminal 1 revisits the original culture of Hermes with the horse racing concept window display as a part of this year's annual theme of the brand. However, do not expect the window becomes too serious and heavy weight. Instead, it is a witty and fun looking display with bright colors and cute properties such as the cute horse doll prancing and jumping in one of the obstacle.

Hermes: Shuttlecocks

Last week I had my short trip to Singapore. In the middle of my hectic schedule, I managed my time to go to some shopping malls and shot the always beautiful and updated window displays in this country. As always, my first post will be about Hermes, yet it is also the most spectacular display I found in this trip.

A sporting life ! is the Hermes' annual theme for 2013 and you can see the ultra chic sport activities in the campaign image. However, how can you translate this theme into the window display? Hermes VM team in Singapore execute it very excellently and amazingly with the usage of shuttlecocks, the 'ball' that is used in the badminton sport. Here, shuttlecocks, and also badminton rackets, are made into garden-like properties such as flower shape table, trees, or tree twigs to display the jewelry or small leather goods. I cannot say much more about the concept, just look how creative, wonderful, marvelous, and amazing they are. By the way, those photos were taken from Hermes boutique at Takashimaya - Ngee Ann City.

Club Culture: Nature at its best

Club Culture is a multri brand store that sells high end street wear such as 7 for All Mankind, Ben Sherman, or the multi printed Desigual accessories. Located at Lippo Mall Kemang, this store has an interesting concept of window display. Instead of playing around with usual image of street and style, nature becomes the main point of attraction. There are rhino, giraffe, deer, trees, cactus, and small flowers spreading around the spacious window display space. The special thing about them are they are made of hard papers, except for the cactus and the flower. Observe the accuracy of the shape and even the measurement or size detail. Excellent job!

Armani Exchange: Colors !

Armani Exchange window display rarely looks attractive, yeah at least for me. However, the latest installment of its Summer 2013 colorful pima polo shirts successfully stops me to stare and photograph the window. Look at those color arrangement and combination that make the window looks attractive and more fresh.

Desigual: Under the palm tree

Holiday mood window display also can be found at Desigual's window. There are coconut trees standing inside window space with faux grass covered floor. Don't expect the green and natural looking trees as you are in the Desigual area. Loud prints and colors are everywhere on the leaves, matching with the mannequins' outfits.

New Look: Holiday

We are now in the month of June and the holiday mood is so strong in the air. New Look window display installed last month is so right with this mood. This simple display concept is featuring a group of mannequins standing on a pool side. Their outfit styling is so relaxed and practical, especially for the men' group. Stickers of palm trees and the bright bright blue screen on the background strengthen the feeling of this display too. Simple, practical, but excellent.
